THE EPIC FINAL INSTALMENT IN A FANTASTICAL MIDDLE GRADE TRILOGY FROM DR JESS FRENCH: TV PRESENTER, VET, CREATURE EXPERT AND CHILDREN'S AUTHOR!
OLD FORCES WAKE AND CHAOS REIGNS. THE ISLAND'S HEARTBEAT SLOWS AND FADES. . .
Kayla, Rustus and Alethea once feared the wilds of Ramoa. Now, they are its fiercest protectors.
The land is fractured - its beasts cast out, its people divided. But a darker threat looms. In the shadows, Professor Penn is preparing to unleash the legendary phaegra - a creature of great power - and twist it into something even more fearsome.
To stop her, the trio must journey to the perilous Scattered Isles and the lush, mysterious land of Polliflora where she has set up base. But the path is treacherous: shipwrecks, sea beasts, underwater cities and rebel factions lie ahead. Old allies must be called upon, and long-buried truths brought to light.
But time is running out. The ancient prophecy speaks of a creature born of foul desire and a final reckoning that will decide the fate of Ramoa. As the realms teeter on the brink of ruin, Kayla, Rustus and Alethea must unlearn the fears of their past and embrace the wild magic of Ramoa one final time - before Penn's fury is unleashed . . . and the world burns.
Perfect for adventurous readers of DRAGON REALM, FIREBORN and SKANDAR AND THE UNICORN THIEF.
